A Hotel Kansas City & The Guild Wedding — Hailey & Logan
Hailey and Logan are the kind of couple that makes you remember exactly why you picked up a camera.
From the moment I arrived at Hotel Kansas City to capture Hailey getting ready, the energy of the day was already set — pure joy, genuine love, and a sense of calm that only comes when two people are completely sure about each other. Watching Hailey’s aunt button up the back of her dress in that beautiful hotel suite while Hailey laughed and beamed — that’s the kind of moment I live for. Hailey and I both lost our moms too early and it’s something that’s made me a better photographer. As a 2025 bride I understand the highs and lows of getting married all while missing your favorite person.
Getting Ready at Hotel Kansas City
If you haven’t seen the interiors of Hotel Kansas City, prepare to fall in love. The architecture alone tells a story — soaring arched windows, rich dark wood, ornate stone detailing that makes every single frame look like it belongs in a magazine. Hailey got ready in one of the hotel’s stunning suites and it was the perfect backdrop for those quiet, tender getting ready moments before the day truly began.

Private Vows & First Look at Hotel Kansas City
One of my absolute favorite parts of Hailey and Logan’s day was their private vow exchange at Hotel Kansas City before the ceremony. They sat across from each other in one of the hotel’s gorgeous lounge spaces — tall windows flooding the room with natural light — and read their handwritten vows to each other face to face. Logan’s reaction as he read Hailey’s words? I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. That image of him pressing his fist to his mouth trying to hold it together is one of my favorites I’ve ever taken.
This is exactly why I always recommend private vows to my couples. No audience, no pressure — just the two of you and words that belong only to you.

Wedding Party Portraits at the Kauffman Center & Nelson-Atkins Museum
Kansas City is one of the most underrated cities in the country for wedding portraits — and Hailey and Logan’s wedding party photos are proof of that.
We made our way to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts first, where those iconic curved silver walls and soaring glass atrium created the most dramatic backdrop for wedding party photos. The black bridesmaid gowns and black tuxedos against the Kauffman’s sleek modern architecture looked absolutely stunning — classic, editorial, and completely Kansas City.
From there we headed to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, one of my favorite portrait locations in all of Kansas City. The grand limestone columns, manicured grounds, and sweeping views of the city skyline give every photo a timeless, almost cinematic quality. Hailey’s white rose bouquet by Wild Hill Flowers against those columns? Perfection.

The Ceremony at The Guild Kansas City
The Guild is one of Kansas City’s most unique wedding venues — an industrial outdoor ceremony space with exposed wood walls and white draped fabric that creates the most beautiful contrast of raw and romantic. Hailey and Logan were married outside under a stunning white drape arch surrounded by lush white floral arrangements by Wild Hill Flowers. If you don’t already know The Guild is hands down my favorite wedding venue in KC.
And Logan at the altar when he first saw Hailey walking toward him? He completely lost it — in the best possible way. Pure, unfiltered emotion. The groomsmen behind him grinning while he tried to compose himself is exactly the kind of candid moment that makes a wedding gallery feel real.

Cocktail Hour at Paradise — The Guild
After the ceremony guests moved inside to Paradise, The Guild’s stunning cocktail hour space. The warm globe lighting, tropical plants and industrial brick walls created such a vibrant, energetic atmosphere as guests mingled and celebrated. The contrast between the intimate outdoor ceremony and the lively indoor cocktail space was such a beautiful flow to the day.

The Reception at The Guild Kansas City
The Guild’s main reception space is jaw dropping — exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, and one of the most spectacular chandeliers I’ve ever photographed under. Wild Hill Flowers created the most gorgeous tall white floral centerpieces that filled the room with elegance. The whole aesthetic was modern, classic, and deeply romantic.
And then the reception happened. Logan grabbed the mic and gave the most heartfelt toast while Hailey cheered him on — arms raised, completely beside herself. Their first dance under that chandelier with the whole room watching was one of those moments that stops time. And when Hailey changed into her reception mini dress and cowboy hat for the dance floor? Winning.
The laughing. The dancing. The joy. Hailey and Logan’s love for each other radiated through every single moment of that room and I felt so honored to be there to capture it.
